Dual Submission for Research at CFP Board Connections Conference

AFS is partnering with CFP Board, our Gold-Level Sponsor, to highlight and promote leading, practitioner-oriented research. CFP Board will provide six (6) authors who are presenting research at the AFS Conference the opportunity to present their research ten days later at the CFP Board Connections Conference (September 29 to October 1, 2024, in Washington, DC), which brings together practitioners, employers and academics to advance the frontiers of the financial planning profession.

The selection committee will be particularly interested in topics such as financial wellness, diversity and practice management. All six (6) honorees will receive a one-day conference pass to the CFP Board Connections Conference to present their research to this large, auspicious audience. Three (3) of the six (6) honorees will additionally receive a $1,500 stipend to offset travel expenses to the conference. Recipients can attend the entire conference for an additional fee.

The research track at the AFS/FPA Event in Ohio allows researchers to make in-person or virtual presentations. If you have already submitted a paper for consideration, AFS will confirm your desire to be considered for the CFP Board Connections Conference, which requires face-to-face presentations in Washington, DC. AFS will commence the double-blind peer review process on May 30 but extend the deadline for submissions to June 30 to accommodate researchers interested in presenting at the CFP Board Connections Conference .
