The Academy of Financial Services is a global academic membership organization established in 1985, making 2025 our 40th anniversary. It is comprised of professors, students and financial planning practitioners focused on research and teaching standards in the profession of financial planning, and those interested in the role of research to improve professional standards. AFS publishes the B-indexed diamond open-access journal Financial Services Review which allows free access to researchers for submission and publication and to everyone for access to published research.

This will bring together the top research in financial planning globally with a dedicated research track that is seamlessly integrated to the broader CFP Board event. Our theme for 2025 is
